Volunteers will be casualties inside or around a building during the immediate aftermath of a disaster. Realistic moulage will add realism to those students attending FEMA's Community Emergency Response Course
Casualties in realistic moulage will be portraying victims in a wilderness setting. Your volunteering will add realism to students learning to care for others in austere environments. Levels include First Aid, First Responder, and Medical Professionals.
The University of Texas at Tyler teaches nurses how to provide care in austere locations. Nursing in a Nontraditional Environment involves an overnight simulation where casualties will simulate a natural disaster and must be treated, carried then maintained overnight.
