Generally no, we like to provide as much as we can and offer a turnkey solution to learning. In our basic survival course, we let you use our equipment and if you like it, you can buy a kit, but you don't have to. We will even work with you on how to buy a kit to fit your budget. The wilderness medicine courses include books, training equipment, and everything you'll need. Just bring personal comfort items and note-taking material. Suggested list of optional items are listed with each course.
The fee structure varies according to the program and is listed with each course. There are no hidden fees, no add-ons unless you choose to buy something. We respect that you work hard for your money and no one likes surprises when it comes to money.
Not really at all. Currently, our training is conducted in a 1.5-acre area inside the city limits. This puts it within a mile of hotels and restaurants. consider it like camping in your backyard, you get the feel of it but still have safety and an actual bathroom.
US Too, we'll I'm a military type but there is no yelling here unless there is a safety issue then all bets are off. I understand I have a background but I'm also currently a nursing professor and have been for over 15 years. I believe that grown adults can learn better in a low-stress environment. We use open discussion since everyone brings something to our learning table. Besides, yelling makes my head hurt.
All well-behaved people and pets are welcome! I do expect the owners to be responsible, but we are very pet friendly.
